On Sunday, Jen & I took a trip on the Bluebell Railway - what better way of seeing the countryside is there than chuffing thru the Sussex Weald behing a vintage steam loco? It beats simply messing about in boats any day!
Today I took Jes to Blackland Farm Activity Centre to meet up with her old Home Ed friends and get some well needed fresh air and exercise. She had a great time with team building problem solving games and the crate challenge.
On both occasions we remarked about how exceptionally bright and prolific the Spring trees and flowers are this year - gorse, daffs, cuckoo pint, violets, primroses and so many cultivated plants including any number of spectacular magnolias are all loaded with bloom - better I think than I've seen for many a long year. Hope this continues into the lilac and rhododendron seasons in the coming couple of months.
