Yves Arthus-Bertrand took some stunning aerial photographs of the Earth and displayed them for all to see upon railings of the Luxembourg Gardens. Film Maker, Renaud Delourme was so impressed he sought permission to make a film based on the pictures. This CD contains the superlative soundtrack to this film. It comes beautifully packaged in a hard-covered booklet containing some of the shots, together with the words of the songs on the disc. The sublime music is impossible to describe save to say, if you are a fan of Philip Glass’s Koyaanisqatsi then you will want to hear this. The film clearly has the same agenda of potential global disaster and impending doom, the epic theme of which is echoed through this sumptuous soundtrack. Go out and get it now – you won’t be sorry you did! Possibly my Record of the Year. Fabulous.
